ADHD Support Group
This group provides students (undergrad, grad, medical) with an opportunity to talk with other students about personal challenges of coping with ADHD.
Co-sponsored by CAPS and SAS; co-led by Erin Lane-Aaronian, Psy.D. (she/her/hers) and Desirae Mix, M.Ed. (she/her/hers). Fall 2024 group will meet Fridays, 2-2:50, starting 9/20/24. Group met virtually in recent school years, but in context of student feedback we will start to meet in person this semester, in Page-Robinson, room 411.

Back to Brown
The Back to Brown Group is a support group for all Brown University Students returning to campus following a leave of absence. The goal of this group is to provide a safe and supportive space for students to connect with others experiencing similar challenges and areas of progress, while also learning about a variety of campus supports, as well as strategies and tools to promote a safe and productive transition back to college life.
The group is facilitated by CAPS psychotherapist (Wilthonie Johnson-Goncalves, MSW, LICSW) yet it is an open forum where all students are encouraged to share their experiences and provide support to each other.
Group will meet Wednesdays, 4-5, starting 9/11/24 at 450 Brook Street (room 197A).

Queer and Trans of Color Support Group
The Queer and Trans of Color Support Group is a group for graduate, medical and undergraduate students that provides an opportunity to be in community and discuss intersecting issues around gender, sexuality and race. The Queer and Trans of Color Support Group will meet at Stonewall House (22 Benevolent Street), every Tuesday (12-1pm), beginning on 2/6/24.

This group is designed to be a safe space to talk, explore, support, challenge and just be present in your gender identity without having to explain/educate/fear judgment. The group starts 9/19/24, and meets every Thursday, 12-1 pm.

Grad Students Back at Brown
This group will be facilitated by Madhuri Dugyala, LMHC, who is a psychotherapist at CAPS working mainly with graduate students. While Madhuri will be facilitating the conversation, the goal of this group is for group members to provide each other emotional and social support as you are readjusting to life at Brown.
